                            BRUSH IN HAND

This image is, in fact, the least typical. Here I am on the veranda working on a small postcard size watercolor probably of a plant on an old red  "sochnut" table. More typical would be to find me in the area around Jerusalem - out in nature in the Jerusalem Forest - or on some moshav that seems attractive. There must be shade, quiet, something of interest and that's it. Most times I would be with Ben Marom - friend, colleague and often mentor. It would likely be a Friday.

I started studying with Tzahi Gil who taught me the basics. Eli Shamir gave me some direction on water color and Naomi at the Israel Museum insisted I look and paint what I see.  Ben discusses the spots, the contrasts and the geometrical shapes and can see with a glance when something is wrong.

I  exhibit, together with Ben Marom, at an annual self-organised event called "Art in the Forest". (2013- 2018)
